Collection: The Svnynne

The Svnynne works with an intuitive and spontaneous approach, allowing their painting process to unfold without premeditation. Guided by the movement of marker pens rather than by a plan, each composition becomes a direct translation of impulse and imagination, “whatever my brain says to do,” as the artist describes it. Figures, both human and hybrid, appear once and never return, lending each work a distinct singularity. Many of The Svnynne’s canvases feature a song title inscribed along the edge, referencing the music that accompanied their making. “Things usually pop into my head and won’t leave until I’ve completed them,” The Svnynne says, underscoring the immediacy and urgency that drives their vibrant practice. 

The Svnynne has shown their work at Interact Gallery (St. Paul, MN), ArtReach St. Croix (Stillwater, MN) and Courage Kenny Institute (Minneapolis, MN). In 2025, their work was part of an exhibition of outstanding work from progressive art studios across the country at Art Enables in Washington, DC.
