David Wright’s bold depictions of cityscapes, destination spots, and pop culture artifacts are inspired by personal travel experiences and reference images from books and the internet. Wright usually starts with a sketch then works larger, using saturated color and thick, black lines. With contacts scattered throughout the United States, David Wright has plenty of material to work with and says he likes to make artwork when he’s “out of town”.
