Victor Van featured on MPR News

MPR News and Alex V. Cipolle recently featured Victor Van in light of the Walker Art Center's acquisition of his artist books. Van was interviewed alongside Interact Visual Arts instructor Jonas Spektor; Van's mother, Yawa Vanthanouvang; and Meg Black, head of the library and archives at the Walker. 

"What struck me, foremost, is just their overall exuberance," said Black. "They're visually engaging works using bright colors and expressive lines, and then the content is a surprising combination of words and images sourced from popular culture and mass media. That paradox of the handmade and the mass produced, I just found really incredibly moving and inspiring."
