"Be In Sunlight" | Interact Gallery

 

Featuring 67 Interact artists, Be In Sunlight brings together works that explore connection, community, and the complexities of relating to one another – and the world around us – in uncertain times. The exhibition is titled after Michael Mike Harris Jr.'s painting, Bee In Sunlight, which depicts a bee pollinating a flower, a dappled haze of maroons, blues, yellows, and greens surrounding it. Throughout the exhibition, artists consider the power of kinship, both in practice at the Interact studio, where they gather daily; and in their work, where people, animals, and mythical creatures hide and lurk and dance and play.
